Immigration in the 1900's

In the 1900's many people immigrated to the United States. In order for immigrants to allowed into the country they needed to pass inspection at Ellis Island. Many people were trying to escape the poverty of Europe and Russia, and therefore made their way across the ocean to Ellis Island.
